
ArmInfo. On October 1, Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan participated in the strategic plenary session entitled "Investment Activity as a Key Factor in Dynamic and Sustainable Economic Development" at the Turkmenistan Investment Forum (TIF 2026), held in Ashgabat.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, in his speech, the minister presented the priorities of state policy implemented in Armenia's economic sphere.
"We are working to reduce the timeframes for licensing procedures, develop new-generation industrial zones, improve the business environment in line with the World Bank's B-READY rating, and increase the share of foreign direct investment in GDP." "Our goal is to attract investments that modernize enterprises, increase productivity, and connect Armenian companies to international value chains," noted Gevorg Papoyan.
In his speech, the minister also touched on the main areas of Armenia's investment policy: increasing productivity, transforming the economy, and developing human capital.
Gevorg Papoyan also emphasized the importance of infrastructure and transport accessibility, pointing to the "Crossroads of the World" initiative and
its key component is the TRIPP infrastructure project.
The forum brought together over 800 delegates from over 80 countries: representatives of government, financial, and international institutions, investors, innovators, and leading experts in the field.
