ArmInfo. Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received Lyaziza Sabirova, Country Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Resident Mission in Armenia.
The parties discussed the progress of joint programs with the ADB and exchanged views on possible new areas of cooperation. Mher Grigoryan also emphasized the importance of developing ADB's cooperation with the private sector.
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to unlock regional communications and the prospects opening up for countries in the region.
It should be noted that the Asian Development Bank is Armenia's second largest creditor, with a 21.2% share (as of April 2025). The bank has been working with Armenia since 2005 and, during this time, has implemented numerous projects in the country aimed at developing the transport, financial, energy, water, and other infrastructure sectors.
As a reminder, according to the April forecast update, ADB projected GDP growth for Armenia in 2026 at 5.5%, accelerating to 5.7% in 2027.
