ArmInfo.On August 26, RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan attended the official opening ceremony of the modern greenhouse complex for growing tomatoes, "Agro Prom," in the Aragatsotn region.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, approximately 9.7 billion drams were invested in the project. The greenhouse was built and equipped with modern technologies. Artificial intelligence- based control systems and robotic solutions are used in production processes, allowing for the monitoring and effective management of crop cultivation. No chemicals are used in production. The greenhouse is GLOBAL G.A.P. certified. Dutch seeds with high virus resistance are used for growing tomatoes.
The company has benefited from a program supporting greenhouse development in the Republic of Armenia. The company is currently constructing a new 10-hectare greenhouse for pepper cultivation, with an investment of approximately 9 billion drams. Blueberry and grape plantations are planned for the adjacent lands in the future.
The Minister emphasized the importance of establishing such production facilities, noting their significance in terms of economic development, attracting new investment, and creating new jobs.
