ArmInfo. Armenia has significantly increased export volumes to China, India, and the EU, as stated by Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan in a post on his Facebook page.
Specifically, according to him, exports to China increased by 83.4% in the first half of the year, while shipments to India grew by 81.3%, and exports directed toward the EU increased by 80%.
Recall, starting in late May of this year, Russian authorities Rospotrebnadzor and Rosselkhoznadzor gradually imposed restrictions on the export of fresh agricultural produce, flowers, fish, fish products, and dairy products from Armenia to Russia and the EU market. Armenia traditionally exported approximately 80-90% of these product groups to Russia. Due to the challenging situation facing Armenian producers and exporters, the government is developing support programs to stimulate exports to the EU and other countries. Specifically, this includes covering transportation costs and customs duties for accessing new markets.
