USCIB to send business delegation to Armenia to participate in COP17

ArmInfo.  The U.S. Council for International Business (USCIB) will send a business delegation to Armenia to participate in COP17

RA Ambassador to the United States Narek Mkrtchyan held a meeting  with Kristen Kaufman, Senior Vice President for Global Impact  Initiatives at the U.S. Council for International Business (USCIB),  and Agnes Winblad, Senior Director for Environment and Sustainable  development. 

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for  cooperation between Armenia and USCIB, particularly in the areas of  sustainable development, the development of related policies, private  sector engagement, and the expansion of international partnerships.

The discussion also focused on USCIB's participation through a  business delegation in the 17th meeting of the Conference of the  Parties (COP17) to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, which  will be held in Armenia.

As part of the meeting, Ambassador Mkrtchyan also presented the  economic reforms being implemented by the Government of Armenia,  measures aimed at improving the investment environment, and  emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation with international  business communities.
