
ArmInfo.Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met with Indonesian Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita as part of the Innoprom international industrial exhibition held in the Russian Federation.
According to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Economy, the meeting focused on issues concerning the expansion of trade, economic, and business cooperation between Armenia and Indonesia, the development of the industrial sector, technology exchange, and deepening cooperation in the production of high-tech goods. Papoyan proposed exploring opportunities for cooperation in the development of industrial zones, investment programs, and joint production ventures.
The Armenian government's Crossroads of Peace initiative was also discussed, with the parties noting that its implementation would contribute to strengthening regional connectivity, simplifying cargo transportation, and creating new opportunities for trade, investment, and industrial cooperation.
Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Armenia's industry has demonstrated stable growth in recent years. According to him, industrial production growth in 2025 compared to 2024 was 4.7%, and for the first four months of the current year, it grew by 13% compared to the same period last year. Over the last nine years, the manufacturing industry has doubled.
