ArmInfo. Armenia is preparing to host the Global Healthcare Travel Forum (GHTF) this autumn.
According to the press service of the Tourism Committee, the event is scheduled to take place from September 16 to 18, in partnership with the World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism).
In preparation for the forum, the Head of the Tourism Committee, Lusine Gevorgyan, held a working meeting with representatives from the Ministry of Health, various medical institutions, and stakeholders in the medical tourism sector.
During the meeting, the draft GHTF program was presented, and conceptual approaches to the development of medical tourism in the country were addressed.
Participants discussed issues related to the forum's preparation, opportunities for international cooperation, and priority areas for industry development. Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue joint efforts to ensure the effective organization of the forum and further development of medical tourism in Armenia.
