Armenia wins case against Sanitek at International Arbitration Court

ArmInfo.  Armenia has won its case against Sanitek at the International Arbitration Court. Grigor Yeritsyan, chairman of the Armenian Progressive Youth public  organization, shared this information on his Facebook page.

He noted that despite the existing disagreements, the Armenian  government and former Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan defended the  country's interests in court. "The court found that Sanitek had  failed to properly fulfill its contractual obligations for waste  collection and street cleaning services, despite having received  payment for these services. The court emphasized that inadequate  waste management poses a risk to public health and concluded that  Armenia's termination of the contracts was reasonable and justified,"  Yeritsyan said. However, according to him, the court rejected the  demand for compensation of $36 million in favor of Armenia by the  Sanitek company.
