ArmInfo. The mathematical knowledge of the ruling power in Armenia is limited to the 5th grade if they believe that, mathematically speaking, creating 300,000 new jobs in 5 years is unrealistic. This was stated today at a press conference by Samvel Karapetyan, the leader of the largest opposition party "Strong Armenia," a renowned businessman and philanthropist.
"Creating up to 300,000 jobs is possible; one simply needs to have the desire and rely on the existing opportunities we have, including personal resources. We will also rely on our partners and our Diaspora. By restoring trust in Armenia, we will significantly stimulate investment flows," he said.
"We will primarily focus on the regions. There won't just be a single first step, but a series of steps every day and every hour to ensure the welfare of our people. Rest assured — we will do it," he stated.
According to him, the state should stand by business. Currently, business is treated as an enemy of the state. Hundreds of criminal cases have been initiated against many businessmen in Armenia. Their families, parents, and even adult children are under criminal investigation and constant pressure from investigative bodies, facing violence. "What businessman would want to invest in such a country?" asked the Forbes-listed entrepreneur.
He noted that his political force would transform Armenia into a homeland for 10 million Armenians, whereas Pashinyan wants to turn the country into a place with a population consisting of 3 million Armenians and 300,000 Azerbaijanis.
"We don't just promise; from the very first days, we have avoided empty promises. We guarantee! We have a clear understanding of our capabilities," Karapetyan concluded.
