Armenia has not received any official information from Russian side  regarding Jermuk products - IOBPP

ArmInfo. The Food Safety Inspectorate of the Republic of Armenia has not yet received any official information or letters from the relevant Russian authorized  bodies - Rospotrebnadzor or Rosselkhoznadzor (the Federal Service for  Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation)  - regarding the blocking of sales of Jermuk products. This was stated  in a statement on the agency's official Facebook page.

According to information circulated in the Russian and Armenian  media, the Russian state-owned labeling system "Honest Sign" blocked  the sale of batches of Jermuk products manufactured by Jermuk Group  CJSC on February 17 and March 5, 2026. According to publications, the  basis for the suspension was a letter from the Federal Service for  Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing of the  Russian Federation (Rospotrebnadzor) regarding "violations of  mandatory requirements."

"Measures are being taken to clarify the circumstances of the  situation and develop appropriate steps. Based on the results of  these investigations, the agency will provide additional  information," the IOBPP statement stated.

It should be noted that today it was reported that the state-owned  labeling system "Honest Sign" has suspended sales of a batch of  Armenian mineral water "Jermuk" (Armenia) in offline and online  stores.  Revaz Yusupov, Deputy Director General of the Center for the  Development of Advanced Technologies (labeling operator), told RBC  that 338,000 bottles were in circulation and are now blocked pending  the completion of the investigation. The suspension was prompted by a  letter from Rospotrebnadzor, in which the agency stated the need to  "take urgent measures to prevent possible harm to the life and health  of Russian citizens." The reason cited for the block was "violations  of mandatory requirements."
