Recall, back in October 2025, Bloomberg, citing the carrier's press  service, reported that Turkish Airlines had announced its intention  to launch direct flights to Yerevan. The source noted that the  intention to launch the new route stems from Ankara's increasing  efforts to normalize relations with Yerevan "after decades of  hostility." "The state-owned airline said it intends to launch  regular flights to Yerevan, subject to demand. This move comes amid  Ankara and Yerevan's desire to renew efforts to improve relations  based on the US-brokered peace agreement between Armenia and Turkey's  ally, Azerbaijan," the statement reads.
