Romanian state airline Tarom temporarily suspends flights to Armenia

ArmInfo. Romanian state airline Tarom temporarily suspended flights to Armenia. On February 13, Tatevik Revazyan, chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the  Republic of Armenia, stated this from the rostrum of the Armenian  parliament.  According to her, the withdrawal from the Armenian  market of the Romanian air carrier is associated with the financial  problems that the airline has encountered.

Last year, six leaders have been replaced in it. The head of the  Committee noted that the department is in constant communication with  the Romanian Embassy in Armenia, and there is hope for the resumption  of air travel between the two countries.

Earlier, ArmInfo reported that the Romanian airline "Tarom" on April  3, 2019 made the first flight Bucharest-Yerevan. Earlier an agreement  was  reached with the airline on regular flights on the route  Bucharest-Yerevan. Flights were carried out twice a week.

Tarom Airlines is the national carrier, the largest and oldest  airline in Romania. The airline is a member of the SkyTeam  international alliance.
