ArmInfo.  The arbitration proceedings  regarding the expropriation of Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA)  have moved on to considering Armenia's jurisdictional objections.

ArmInfo.The SCC Arbitration Institute, by a decision dated 16 June 2026, granted Armenia's request to bifurcate the proceedings in the arbitration  case of Liormand Holdings Limited and the Karapetyans v. Armenia. 

ArmInfo.  Armenia's largest technology event, DigiTec 2026, is officially scheduled to take place from November 20 to 22, 2026.  The concept and content of DigiTec 2026 will be closely tied to this historic transformation.  The organizers will announce the thematic areas and the lineup of  leading international speakers later.

ArmInfo.  Any action taken by the Armenian government against the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA), a company owned by Samvel Karapetyan, including its direct nationalization, would violate the decisions made by the Stockholm Arbitral Tribunal in July 2025, as noted in a statement issued by the ENA Control Committee,  following the Armenian government's  announcement that the Stockholm Arbitral Tribunal had fully granted  Armenia's motion to bifurcate the proceedings in the arbitration case  of Liormand Holdings Limited and Karapetyans v. Armenia.

ArmInfo.  Armenia is a small country, and its only advantage may be speed – the speed of decision-making and progress. This perspective was shared on June 17 by Sergey Stanovkin, head of BBC's commercial offices in Eurasia and director of Dars Consulting, during a panel discussion at the  Hospitality Investment Forum (HIF) 2026. The international event  convened over 1,000 participants from more than 28 countries.

ArmInfo.  In 2025, Armenia welcomed 2.3 million tourists, while taking into account the government's annual budget for tourism development, the state spends only $1.77 per international visitor. Takuya Aoyama, renowned  international hotel and investment expert, made this statement during  a panel discussion at the Hospitality Investment Forum Yerevan 2026  (HIF).  Comparing Armenia with Azerbaijan, which welcomed 2.5 million  tourists last year, he noted that the government spends $13 per  tourist.

ArmInfo.Legal entities and individuals in Armenia will soon be permitted to extract non-metallic mineral resources that are not included in the state balance sheet, provided the extraction occurs within their own land plots, involves no drilling or blasting, and follows procedures established by the government.

ArmInfo. The German company Monolith has expressed interest in the Armenian market. RA Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan met with Artur Steinhauer and Vladimir Martinovich, heads of a division of the German company Monolith North.

ArmInfo. The official opening of the Hospitality Investment Forum Yerevan 2026 (HIF) took place in Yerevan, bringing together over 1,000 participants from more than 28 countries.

ArmInfo. The Armenian delegation, led by Eduard Hakobyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, is participating in the 30th  General Assembly of the Intra-European Organization of Tax  Administrations (IOTA) in Budapest. This was reported by the SRC  press service.

ArmInfo. Armenia has taken up the issue of changing the taxation of dividends received by shareholders of commercial banks. The National Assembly of the  Republic of Armenia is discussing amendments to the Tax Code and the  Law "On State Duty" at its June 17 session.

ArmInfo. At its plenary session on June 17, the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia approved the government's report on the implementation of the 2025 state budget. 57 members voted in favor of approving the document.

ArmInfo.Armenia highly appreciates the support of the European Union (EU), but the country does not intend to redirect its exports from the Russian to the  European market. This was stated by Armenian Minister of Economy  Gevorg Papoyan, amid Russia's restrictions on a number of Armenian  goods and attempts to redirect exports to EU countries.

ArmInfo. Armenia will expand the mechanism for using electronic cash register receipts. The country's parliament is considering amendments to the RA Tax Code in the first reading at its June 17 session.

ArmInfo. The Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) has lowered its 2026 outlook, anticipating a more pronounced deceleration in GDP growth to 4.1–4.5% (compared to the previously projected 4.7–7.1% growth and the actual growth of 7.1% in 2025). Growth rates in 2027 are expected to shift marginally to 3.7–4.7% (down from the previously projected 5.3–5.7%).

ArmInfo.  Armenia is preparing to host the Global Healthcare Travel Forum (GHTF) this autumn.

ArmInfo.  During a press conference held on June 16, 2026, the Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA), Martin Galstyan, stated that a hike in natural gas prices is considered highly unlikely.

ArmInfo.  In the near term, the main uncertainties regarding price growth in Armenia are related to the duration of inflationary trends emerging in global food markets, and in this context, to the speed and scale of domestic  price adjustments. This is noted in the rationale for the Central  Bank of Armenia's decision on June 16 to keep the refinancing rate  unchanged at 6.5%.

ArmInfo. The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) today celebrates 20 years since its founding. What began as a bilateral initiative has grown over two decades into one of the most respected multilateral development institutions in the Eurasian region, according to a statement from the Bank's press  service.

ArmInfo. The rating agency Moody's Ratings has reaffirmed the B2 credit rating of the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine (ZCMC) with  a stable outlook, as evidenced by data from Moody's completed regular review of ZCMC's ratings.
