Investment company CUBE Invest entered the Armenian capital market for the first time as an issuer

ArmInfo. The traditional bell-ringing ceremony took place at the Armenia Securities Exchange (AMX), marking the entry of one of the country's leading investment companies, CUBE Invest, into the bond market for the first time as an issuer.

This is an unprecedented event in the country's capital markets, as CUBE Invest became the first investment company in Armenia to list its bonds on the stock exchange. This event not only expands the range of issuers represented on the exchange but also opens up new opportunities for financial sector companies to attract financing through the capital market and develop their operations.

The total volume of CUBE Invest's debt securities issued was 5 billion drams (50,000 bonds with a par value of 100,000 drams). The maturity is 36 months, and the annual coupon yield is hybrid: The fixed rate is 10.50% per annum for the first six months, followed by a floating rate. The bonds are eligible for direct and repo transactions. The issue was placed on September 11, 2026.

In an interview with journalists, CUBE Invest CEO Mikael Margaryan explained that the issue is one of the stages of the company's long-term development strategy, which is planned to be consistently advanced. It's somewhat strange to be here today as an issuer, as we typically act as an underwriter and help companies issue bonds and list on the stock exchange. As a financial institution, we have always been transparent, but we consider the placement of our bonds and listing another step toward becoming a more public organization," he emphasized.

The company plans to use the funds raised from the debt market to strengthen liquidity, develop infrastructure, and expand technological capabilities. Margaryan explained that on September 11, the company launched a mobile app that will allow clients to access all CUBE Invest services and products online.

However, this app needs to be modernized, taking into account technological developments and the advancement of AI. We are currently actively working on this. We plan to use part of the funds to increase liquidity and introduce new products and services.

Answering a question from an ArmInfo correspondent, Margaryan clarified that he was talking about hedging instruments, which are in demand in the market but not yet widely used. The company's head noted that, for example, there are plans to introduce instruments for hedging the risks of corporate clients, various currency forwards, and other derivative financial instruments.

He expressed his belief that the active involvement of financial sector companies is also important for the development of the country's capital market, not only as providers of investment services but also as issuers. "From this perspective, we view our move not only as a new opportunity for the company's growth, but also as a contribution to expanding the Armenian capital market and creating new opportunities for attracting financing," the CEO said.

In turn, Hayk Yeganyan, CEO of the Armenian Securities Exchange, welcomed the listing of CUBE Invest bonds. He noted that CUBE Invest is one of the leading and largest investment companies in Armenia and an active underwriter in the capital market, which is an effective and reliable partner for the Stock Exchange. "This is the first time an investment company has issued bonds on the exchange, expanding the range of companies raising financing through the capital market." This is an important example for other financial sector participants, demonstrating that the capital market can serve not only as a platform for providing investment services but also as an effective tool for financing companies and their long-term development. We are confident that this listing will contribute to the further development of the market, expanding the range of issuers, and creating new investment opportunities," he emphasized.

During the event, it was noted that, starting November 9, investors will be able to participate in exchange trading of CUBE Invest CJSC bonds by contacting banks or investment companies that are members of the exchange. The bonds will be included in the Bbond secondary list of the Armenian Securities Exchange.

Founded in 2017, CUBE Invest CJSC is an investment and brokerage company operating in Armenia, providing financial services and focusing on transparency, financial security, and customer trust. Since 2022, the company has been a member of the Armenian Securities Exchange, and in subsequent years, it expanded its international cooperation by joining the Association of Financial Markets in Europe (AFME) and the Tabadul platform. Driven by innovation and technological development, the company strives to make investment opportunities more accessible to its clients.
