ArmInfo. The second Armenia-Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Economic Forum, dedicated to the agri-food sector and agritourism, was held in Lyon.

According to the press service of the Armenian Embassy in France, Fabrice Pancuk, President of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, and Arman Khojoyan, Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia, delivered welcoming speeches at the forum.

Fabrice Pancuk emphasized the importance of developing decentralized cooperation with Armenia, noting the effective ties established with the Syunik region, as well as the partnerships that have developed between the seven communities of the two regions. He also noted the opening of the Lyon branch of the Franco-Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as an important platform for strengthening business ties and forming new partnerships.

In turn, Khojoyan presented Armenia's economic diversification policy, steps aimed at expanding trade and economic ties with European markets, as well as achievements in the agricultural sector and export development prospects.

Armenian Ambassador to France Arman Khachatryan emphasized that with the establishment of a strategic partnership between Armenia and France, bilateral relations have entered a new stage, in which decentralized cooperation is of particular importance. He noted the potential for cooperation in agriculture, water resources, infrastructure, high technology, innovation, and tourism, highlighting the opportunities of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

Representatives of the "Enterprise Armenia" organization also participated in the conference on the Armenian side. and the Armenian Viticulture and Winemaking Foundation.

The conference was attended by over 200 people, including representatives of state and local governments from both countries, businesses, industry organizations, and Franco-Armenian structures. As part of the event, the Armenian delegation held a bilateral meeting with Fabrice Panckouck, President of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
