
ArmInfo. Armenia intends to prepare a draft regulation for the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry and AI of Armenia, citing the results of the third meeting of the public council under the head of the technology ministry, David Tadevosyan, with the participation of representatives of AI companies, startups, and large and international organizations operating in Armenia.
During the meeting, it was noted that at this stage, a preliminary draft has not yet been prepared. Consequently, proposals and comments from representatives of various fields are being collected to shape future regulatory approaches.
Meeting participants discussed the current vision for the formation of a national artificial intelligence ecosystem, issues of the safe and responsible use of AI, the protection of citizens' rights and accountability, and maintaining a favorable environment for innovation.
Separately, they addressed the efficient use of computing resources, including the computing power acquired under the agreement between the Armenian government and Firebird AI. Participants emphasized the importance of developing computing infrastructure, attracting specialists, supporting startups and research, protecting intellectual property, regulatory innovation, and expanding the use of AI in the public sector.
