On the sidelines of the “Advancing the Agentic World” forum taking place in China, Huawei Technologies and Armenia’s Enterprise Incubator Foundation signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) to expand cooperation in the areas of artificial intelligence, advanced digital technologies, research, innovation, talent development and industrial transformation. This is stated in a foundation release.
According to the source, cooperation will focus on the development of agentic AI, physical AI, open AI models, AI governance, cloud technologies, intelligent manufacturing, advanced computing technologies and industrial innovation, as well as on strengthening ties between academia, startups, research institutes, industry and global technology leaders. One of the key areas of cooperation is the development of the Huawei ICT Academy ecosystem in Armenia, which will enable students, young professionals and researchers to receive world-class education, professional certifications and practical experience in artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, cybersecurity and other advanced fields. The partnership also plans to explore the possibility of creating an AI-focused research and innovation environment that will promote the rapid and responsible adoption of new technologies.
These technologies are expected to transform the manufacturing, logistics, infrastructure and public services sectors through autonomous operations, predictive decision-making, intelligent robotics and human-machine interaction.
“Artificial intelligence is rapidly evolving from a tool that supports people into intelligent systems capable of collaborating, adapting and operating in the physical world. Through this partnership with Huawei Technologies, we aim to place Armenia at the forefront of agentic AI, physical AI, open AI ecosystems and AI-driven industrial transformation. By combining advanced technological expertise with Armenia’s emerging innovation ecosystem, we are creating new opportunities for talent development, industrial modernization, the advancement of intelligent manufacturing, the promotion of responsible AI governance and ensuring Armenia’s contribution to the global future of innovation,” said Anahit Parsyan, Vice President for Global Partnerships at the Enterprise Incubator Foundation.
The memorandum of understanding establishes a long-term framework for cooperation aimed at strengthening Armenia’s capacity in advanced technological research, innovation commercialization, digital workforce development and international cooperation. EIF and Huawei Technologies will work together to accelerate the adoption of transformational technologies and contribute to the creation of a globally interconnected, innovative economy.
“At Huawei, we believe that the future will be shaped through open cooperation and joint innovation. Our partnership with the Enterprise Incubator Foundation reflects our shared commitment to combining global expertise with local talent, promoting innovation-driven development and creating an ecosystem where research, education, startups and industry can work together to respond to the opportunities presented by the intelligent era,” said Zhao Hongbo, head of Huawei Technologies Armenia.
It should be noted that the document was signed in Shanghai as part of HUAWEI CONNECT 2026: Advancing Agentic World. This is Huawei’s annual flagship event, which brings together global industry leaders, researchers, policymakers and innovators to discuss the latest advances in technology and digital transformation.
