ArmInfo.  Armenia is among the visa-free countries for Russians where hotel accommodation prices have risen noticeably this summer. The press service of the Yandex Travel service told RIA Novosti.

According to the source, compared with last summer, hotels in Armenia have become 12% more expensive, reaching 9.7 thousand rubles.

Among visa-free countries, hotels in Vietnam saw the largest increase this summer—14%.  According to the Yandex Travel service, a night at a hotel in Vietnam costs an average of 8.4 thousand rubles, which is 14% more than last summer. "We believe that the increase in the average hotel accommodation price in Vietnam is related to tourists choosing higher-class hotels.  For example, in July, the share of five-star hotels in bookings increased significantly—from 48.3% to 61.9%. This became possible due to the emergence of more direct transportation options (charter flights, the number of which has increased this year) and the expansion of budget connecting flight options via visa-free China. By saving on airfare, tourists choose more comfortable accommodation," ATOR explained.

In addition to Vietnam and Armenia, hotels in Kazakhstan (+13% compared with last summer, to 9.2 thousand rubles per night), China (+9%, to 10 thousand rubles), Egypt (+8%, to 11.4 thousand rubles), and Belarus (+8%, to 10.3 thousand rubles) have also become more expensive, Yandex Travel calculated.
