ArmInfo. Starting from February 8, 2027, games organized using slot machines and similar devices will be considered gambling in Armenia. Conducting this activity will require an appropriate license and compliance with the requirements established by law. The State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia issued a similar reminder.
"The SRC reports that on February 8, 2027, the Law of the Republic of Armenia "On Regulation of Gambling" enters into force, according to which gambling is considered any risky, mechanized game offering the possibility of winning (a game conducted using a gaming product intended for conducting software-based and (or) mechanical games), during which the winner is determined by means of a special program and (or) mechanical system contained in that product, with the direct or indirect participation of the player. Within the framework of the aforementioned legal regulation, gambling also includes gambling organized using slot machines or similar devices. At the same time, we inform you that in the Republic of Armenia, the organization of gambling is a type of activity subject to licensing. The SRC strongly recommends: starting from February 8, 2027, games conducted using slot machines or similar devices must be organized exclusively with an appropriate license and in compliance with the requirements of the law", the agency's statement says.
