Wizz Air will launch flights to three new destinations from Armenia

ArmInfo. Wizz Air will expand its route network from Armenia in October 2026.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, the airline will begin operating flights to three new destinations. "In October, Wizz Air will begin operating flights to three new destinations: Basel, Switzerland; Varna, Bulgaria; and Valencia, Spain," the ministry reported.

WizzAir is a low-cost Hungarian airline founded in September 2003 and headquartered in Vecsés. The main investor was Indigo Partners, an American private company specializing in transportation investments. The airline operated its first flight in May 2004 from Katowice. In May 2025, Wizz Air announced the opening of its 34th base in Yerevan.
