The Ministry of Technology and Industry discussed the possibility of implementing joint programs with the French research institute CEA-Leti

ArmInfo. Minister of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence of the Republic of Armenia David Tadevosyan received representatives of the French research and technology institute CEA-Leti, led by Mikael Chagaspanian, Executive Vice President for Technological Strategic Partnerships.

During the meeting, prospects for expanding cooperation with CEA-Leti and implementing joint programs were discussed, particularly in the areas of semiconductor manufacturing, engineering, and semiconductor research.

Particular attention was paid to cooperation with higher education institutions in Armenia. In particular, they discussed opportunities to expand current programs implemented by the National Polytechnic University of Armenia and Yerevan State University, implement new initiatives of mutual interest, and develop long-term student exchange programs.

The parties also discussed opportunities for CEA-Leti to collaborate with international and local technology companies operating in Armenia, as well as with research institutions, and implement joint programs.

The discussions focused on the development of the technology industry and engineering innovation, deepening cooperation in IC design, microelectronics, and nanoelectronics, developing production capacities, and implementing programs aimed at further stimulating Armenia's technological and research ecosystem.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on further steps to develop cooperation.

CEA-Leti is one of France's leading research centers, occupying a leading position in the field of micro- and nanotechnology. The center actively collaborates with scientific and industrial partners, developing innovative solutions in the fields of electronics, artificial intelligence, communications technology, and nanoelectronics.
