Armenia`s metallurgical industry achieved double-digit growth in January-July 2026

ArmInfo. The metallurgical industry of Armenia in January-July 2026 brought the annual dynamics from a 7% decline to 26.6% growth. According to data from the RA Statistics Committee, this was driven by an increase in the volume of all metallurgical products manufactured in Armenia, with the exception of ferromolybdenum.

In particular, copper concentrate production increased by 27.6% year-on-year during the reporting period (versus an 8% decline the year before), reaching 203.1 thousand tons.

Molybdenum concentrate production increased by 25.2% (versus a 14.9% decline the year before), reaching 10.4 thousand tons.

Along with this, the annual growth rate of zinc concentrate production accelerated from 6.9% to 7.1%, reaching 7.1 thousand tons.

The annual growth rate of steel pipe production also accelerated, from 4.6% to 53.2%, reaching 20,990 tons.

Aluminum foil production also accelerated year-on-year, but at a moderate pace – from 2% to 3.9%, reaching 12,200 tons.

Only ferromolybdenum production continued to decline, accelerating from 35.1% to 47.4%, with volumes dropping to 907.2 tons.
