ArmInfo. In 2025, Armenia reduced its wine exports by 3% (versus a 4.1% decline) to 4.1 million liters. At the same time, the customs value of exported wine increased by 12% to $19.8 million, according to data from the RA Customs Service.
Russia has traditionally been the main market for Armenian wine, with its share decreasing slightly in 2025 from 79.6% to 78.5%. The United States (4.8%), France (2.3%), Poland (1.6%), Belgium (1.3%), China and the Netherlands (0.9% each), Lithuania and Switzerland (0.8% each), Canada and Germany (0.7% each), Belarus (0.6%), and Georgia (0.6%) followed by the United States. Significantly smaller volumes were exported to Kazakhstan, Australia, Argentina, Bulgaria, Brazil, Taiwan, Turkmenistan, Spain, Israel, Latvia, India, Greece, Japan, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Uruguay, and the Czech Republic. Less than 1,000 liters were exported to Lebanon, the UAE, Angola, Cyprus, Ethiopia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Maldives, and Norway.
Meanwhile, wine imports increased by 60.2% in 2025 (versus a 9.6% decline in 2024) to 1.9 million liters. The customs value of imported wine increased by 31.2% to $10.2 million.
The largest volumes of wine imported to Armenia came from Italy (42.3%), Moldova (16.2%), Spain (11.4%), France (8.6%), Portugal (4.6%), Germany (4.3%), and New Zealand (4%). Much smaller volumes were imported from Georgia, Uzbekistan, Chile, Austria, Argentina, Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, South Africa, the United States, and the Russian Federation. Less than 1,000 liters were imported from the United Kingdom, Hungary, and American Samoa.
It should be noted that, according to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, 7.7 million liters of wine were produced in Armenia in 2025, a 23.3% decrease compared to the previous year.
