ArmInfo. Armenia's diamond exports in 2025 were almost halved (compared to a 6% decline in 2024), reaching 279,900 carats. The customs value decreased by 77.4%, amounting to $109.5 million. According to data from the RA Customs Service, diamond imports also significantly declined—by 88.4%, reaching 378,000 carats, with a 75.8% decrease in customs value, reaching $120.9 million.
The UAE accounted for the bulk of diamond exports, accounting for 56.5% (compared to 74.8% in 2024) and the Russian Federation for 36.8% (compared to 7.6%). Belgium followed with 3.1% (versus 0.2%), Israel with 2.2% (versus 0.2%), and very small volumes were exported to Georgia, Norway, the USA, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, Canada, Thailand, Belarus, and Germany.
Diamonds were imported primarily from India (45.5%) and the UAE (38.1%). Smaller volumes came from Belgium (2.6%), Hong Kong (2.5%), Angola (1.9%), Israel (1.7%), Canada (1.6%), Botswana, Thailand, Namibia, Russia, Tanzania, China, and South Africa. Shipments of up to 1,000 carats came from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Germany, Guinea, Lesotho, and the Congo.
