RA premier highlights need to develop trade and economic cooperation  between Armenia and Tajikistan

ArmInfo. On August 31, 2026, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan met with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in Bishkek on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit. The press service of the Government of the Republic of Armenia reported this.

Emomali Rahmon congratulated Nikol Pashinyan on his reappointment as  Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and wished him continued  success. He attached great importance to developing ties with Armenia  in various fields and expressed confidence that, through joint  efforts, bilateral cooperation in various areas will develop and  expand.

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the congratulations and  good wishes, noting with satisfaction that the bilateral political  dialogue is at a high level. He also emphasized the need to develop  trade and economic cooperation. The leaders of the two countries  attached great importance to the work of the intergovernmental  commission.

The two leaders exchanged views on various issues of mutual interest,  including regional processes and events.
