AMD 1.256bln to be allocated for implementation of subvention  programs in Armenia

ArmInfo. 1.256 billion drams will be allocated for the implementation of subvention programs in  Armenia. The decision was made at a government meeting on August 27.

As RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David  Khudatyan noted in his speech, the project plans to implement two  programs in the Armavir region, three in Gegharkunik, two in Lori,  one in Kotayk, and one in Vayots Dzor. A total of seven communities  will be involved in the program. In total, joint projects with the  country's communities will be financed in 2026 for a total of 10.9  billion drams. The minister noted that when constructing or repairing  roads, there should be a mandatory requirement for state laboratory  reports, particularly regarding the quality of the asphalt laid.

In his speech, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the  importance of fulfilling the promises made to citizens. In  particular, he noted the need to build a playground in the border  community of Nerkin Hand. "When we talk about peace, we also mean  when parents are not afraid to let their children play on the  playground, even though it's clear that the border has not yet been  delimited and there are other issues," Pashinyan said, recalling that  the delimitation process is proceeding in accordance with the  approved Rules of Procedure of the commissions of Armenia and  Azerbaijan.

The rationale for the draft resolution recalls that, in order to  develop the economic and social infrastructure of the communities of  the Republic of Armenia, a process for providing subsidies to  communities was initiated in 2018. In 2022, 363 subsidy programs were  reviewed and approved, 273 in 2023, 242 in 2024, and 204 in 2025.  Community applications are primarily aimed at capital investments in  communities, in particular, the improvement of streets, parks,  gardens, and playgrounds; the construction and reconstruction of  community buildings, community centers, kindergartens, and event  halls; the construction and reconstruction of water supply, sewerage,  and irrigation networks; night lighting; gasification of populated  areas; and the reconstruction of common property in apartment  buildings using energy-saving measures.
