ArmInfo. Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) is expecting the results of an investigation into sanitary violations and a comprehensive corrective action plan from Armenia, the agency told Izvestia in response to an inquiry regarding a potential easing or lifting of restrictions.
The agency stated that it is awaiting information from the Armenian side on the measures already taken. "As well as an action plan proposed by the Armenian side to ensure compliance with EAEU veterinary and phytosanitary requirements," the agency added.
Rosselkhoznadzor imposed a total ban on the import and transit of all quarantine-regulated products from Armenia starting June 12, 2026. The restrictions affect vegetables, fruits, flowers, dairy products, and alcohol. The measure was prompted by insufficient quality and safety controls on the part of Armenian agencies.
