Ardshinbank Has Reduced Interest Rates on Existing Mortgage and Real-estate-secured Loans by 1–2.5 Percentage Points Following a Change in the Reference Rate

ArmInfo. Following the latest revision of the Reference Rate (hereinafter, the “RR”), on August 3, 2026 Ardshinbank reduced the nominal interest rates by 1–2.5 percentage points on 7,779 loans issued based on the RR, with a total outstanding volume of more than AMD 155.7 billion. The change will take effect on September 5, 2026, and will have a significant positive impact on several thousand families, enabling them to save money and reallocate their household expenses.

“Ardshinbank, committed to full compliance with legislative requirements and guided by the principles of transparency that underpin its operations, has revised the interest rates on loans issued based on the Reference Rate. As a result of the revision, the bank’s customers are expected to save approximately AMD 705 million until the next revision. With this reduction, we once again reaffirm Ardshinbank’s position as a responsible bank and lender. Our goal is not only to ensure that customers have access to financial services tailored to their needs, but also to enable them to benefit from the positive impact of market developments,” said Mihran Muradyan, Member of the Management Board and Director of Retail Business at Ardshinbank.

The bank has reduced the interest rates on all existing loans with floating rates based on the RR by 1 percentage point. For mortgage loans issued at a fixed (adjustable) interest rate, where more than 36 months have passed since the loan was issued, the reduction compared with the rate applicable at the time of disbursement amounts to 2.5 percentage points.

It should be noted that the Reference Rate is calculated based on the yield to maturity of Armenian government (treasury) bonds. The RR is reviewed twice a year, on February 1 and August 1.
