Armenia and Kazakhstan discuss prospects for cooperation in  technology

ArmInfo. Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan met with Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister  and Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development  Zhaslan Madiyev.

According to the government press service, Madiyev arrived in Armenia  to participate in the official opening ceremony of the Artificial  Intelligence (AI) Factory, a joint venture between Firebird AI and  the global technology company NVIDIA.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation  between the two countries in digitalization, AI, data centers, and  other areas of mutual interest. They emphasized the importance of  implementing joint projects with leading global organizations. As a  reminder, this facility is a cutting-edge artificial intelligence  computing infrastructure designed to train and run AI models, as well  as perform large-scale and complex computational tasks.

The first phase of the AI facility, located near Hrazdan on an area  of approximately 200,000 square meters, is planned to be equipped  with more than 6,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs with a capacity of  approximately 18 MW. The investment volume for the first phase of  this megaproject is $500 million. Subsequent phases of the project  plan to significantly expand the infrastructure's computing capacity  by equipping it with next- generation NVIDIA Vera Rubin GPUs, thereby  creating one of the largest clusters of advanced AI computing power  in emerging markets.

In the second phase, the total investment will reach over $4 billion,  and the infrastructure will be equipped with approximately 50,000  next-generation NVIDIA Vera Rubin GPUs, creating the largest cluster  of the world's most advanced AI processors in emerging markets. The  first stage of the project plans to create approximately 100  permanent jobs, and in the second stage the number of employees is  expected to increase to 300.
