Gevorg Papoyan: It`s impossible for goods sold in the UAE, Europe,  and China to be unsellable in Russia

ArmInfo.  "We, as a full member of the EAEU and a country, are genuinely concerned about the  future of the union because we want the EAEU to exist and function  effectively, not like the CSTO," Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg  Papoyan told reporters on July 29.  He noted that, under EAEU  legislation, all member countries are obligated to ensure the free  movement of goods, services, and labor. Failure to do so means the  union's legislation and fundamental principles are not working.

"We believe the system must work. After all, it's impossible for  goods sold in the UAE, Europe, and China to be unsellable in Russia,"  the Minister of Economy said. According to him, by raising this  issue, the Armenian side aims to foster a discussion so that EAEU  principles can finally be put into practice.

"This isn't just Armenia's problem—it's a problem for the entire  EAEU. We treat this organization as our own and cannot remain  indifferent when one of its fundamental principles fails to  function," Papoyan concluded.
