Armenia, U.S. discuss opportunities to expand cooperation with major  American technology companies

ArmInfo.  Armenian Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan announced that he met with the Charge d'Affaires a.i. David Allen.  "In my speech, I  commended the effective partnership established between the Republic  of Armenia and the United States, emphasizing the strategic  importance of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in  Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductors, signed in Washington on  August 8, 2025.

I noted that the signing of the memorandum is of unprecedented  significance for the development of bilateral cooperation, and  maximum efforts must be made to effectively utilize this document and  achieve tangible results," Hayrapetyan wrote on his Facebook page. He  added that the provision of high- performance computing resources  (FirebirdAI, EleveightAI), as well as expanded collaboration with  major American technology companies, were identified as priority  areas of cooperation.

David Allen, in turn, confirmed the US's readiness to support the  development of the Armenian tech ecosystem.

Hayrapetyan said that one of the key achievements of Armenia-US  cooperation in  microchips—the granting of an export license for  advanced technologies to Microchip Technology—was also noted at the  meeting.

"I emphasized that this is the result of consistent bilateral work,  and this cooperation confirms the high level of mutual trust that has  developed between the two countries and adding that the transition to  a more favorable status for Armenia under the US export control  regime will be a logical and natural continuation of the strategic  partnership," the Armenian official said.
