Armenia`s Economy Minister discussed current government support programs with exporters.

ArmInfo. On June 25, the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, held a meeting with exporters. Deputy Minister Anushik Avetyan also took part in the meeting, the press service of the Ministry of Economy reported.

The purpose of the meeting, the source said, was to discuss existing state support programs and to hear entrepreneurs' proposals to increase their effectiveness and targeting. Issues of improving the competitiveness of Armenian products, developing new export directions, increasing export volumes and expanding the presence of Armenian goods on international markets were also discussed.

The minister emphasized that promoting exports and diversifying markets are key directions of the government's economic policy. He presented programs being implemented by the Ministry of Economy aimed at addressing the problems exporters face and creating new opportunities. Entrepreneurs outlined their concerns and the risks present in foreign markets, as well as their proposals and vision for the development of the sector.
