ArmInfo. Eurasian connectivity is not an abstract topic for Armenia, but a factor in trade development and the realization of new opportunities. This was stated by Nikolay Podguzov, Chairman of the Eurasian Development Bank Management Board, at the annual meeting and business forum in Almaty on June 25, marking the 20th anniversary of the Eurasian Development Bank.
According to him, Armenia's trade within the Eurasian Economic Union is steadily growing. "Over the past five years, its volume has tripled, reaching $8 billion. This demonstrates that Eurasian connectivity is not an abstract topic for Armenia, but a factor in developing trade and realizing new opportunities. According to the EDB's mutual investment monitoring, Armenia also leads in attracting foreign investment from Eurasian countries. From 2020 to 2025, its volume grew by 78%, five times faster than the regional average," Podguzov noted.
He noted that the Eurasian Bank also plays a practical role in this dynamic. In this regard, he noted that over the past four and a half years, the bank's investments in Armenia have totaled $380 million. "This is 30% more than our five-year strategic investment target in the country. All this demonstrates how the interconnectedness of investments and the work of development institutions are transforming into concrete opportunities for the country," Podguzov concluded.
