ArmInfo. If necessary, Roskachestvo will test products from Armenia. Maxim Protasov, the head of the agency, announced this in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Responding to a question about whether Roskachestvo would test other products made in Armenia, in addition to Jermuk mineral water and alcohol, Protasov noted that this would happen if consumers requested it.
"If consumers request it, we will test products from Armenia. In our work, we focus primarily on the needs of citizens. For us, the country from which the products are imported or who manufactured them is not so important. It is important that all goods on the shelves of Russian stores are high-quality and safe," the head of Roskachestvo noted.
As a reminder, as of June 12, Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance) has restricted the import of all quarantine products from Armenia, as well as their transit through Russia to other EAEU countries.
