German company Monolith expresses interest in Armenian market

ArmInfo. The German company Monolith has expressed interest in the Armenian market. RA Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan met with Artur Steinhauer and Vladimir Martinovich, heads of a division of the German company Monolith North.

During the meeting, issues related to the export potential of  Armenian agrifood products, as well as opportunities for expanding  cooperation between Armenian producers and German retail chains, were  discussed.

Arman Khojoyan presented the main directions of state policy aimed at  stimulating exports. He emphasized the importance of developing  cooperation with large international retail chains as a key condition  for promoting Armenian products in foreign markets and increasing  export volumes. The Deputy Minister also touched upon the  capabilities of Armenia's processing industry, presenting the  production potential of companies in this sector, their level of  compliance with international criteria and quality standards, and  their export experience.

Monolith Nord executives expressed interest in opportunities to  import and sell Armenian processed fruit and vegetable products,  particularly canned fruit and vegetable products. Following the  meeting, an agreement was reached to organize meetings with business  entities in the sector to clarify possible areas of cooperation and  specific practical steps.

It is worth noting that the Monolith Group, which serves  approximately 4,000 clients, is one of Germany's leading wholesale  suppliers, specializing in the import and distribution of select  delicacies from Eastern Europe. Currently, the Monolith Group employs  over 750 people across six branches, and the holding's turnover in  recent years has reached ?800 million.
