
ArmInfo. The Armenian delegation, led by Eduard Hakobyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, is participating in the 30th General Assembly of the Intra-European Organization of Tax Administrations (IOTA) in Budapest. This was reported by the SRC press service.
The meeting discussed and summarized the results of IOTA's activities in 2025, and approved the budget and work program for 2027. Elections to the IOTA Executive Board were also held during the meeting, resulting in Armenia being elected as a member of the organization's Executive Board for the first time. This important achievement will allow the Armenian tax administration to more actively participate in the organization's strategic decision-making process, promote deeper cooperation between member countries, and implement best international practices. The 30th General Conference also featured a panel discussion on the current and future challenges facing tax authorities. The heads of tax authorities from IOTA member countries participated in the discussion.
During the panel discussion, the Chairman of the General Conference delivered a speech, presenting his vision of the organization's role and mission in the international tax system, as well as his views on its further strengthening.
