
ArmInfo. The French company Thales and the Armenian company BuTech have announced a strategic partnership in the military-industrial sector. Minister of High- Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan shared this information on his Facebook page, calling it a major achievement for the military-industrial complex of the Republic of Armenia.
"For Armenia's high-tech and defense industry, cooperation with such a global leader is an extremely important signal. Armenian companies are gradually demonstrating increasing potential in developing solutions, integrating complex systems, and meeting international standards," the minister said.
He noted that these events follow the signing of a strategic document on defense cooperation between the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Defense of the French Republic on May 5 in Yerevan. According to Hayrapetyan, this partnership will contribute to the creation of highly skilled jobs in Armenia, deepen Armenian-French military and technological cooperation, and strengthen strategic collaboration between our countries.
Thales is a French multinational company and a global leader in defense technologies, aerospace, cybersecurity, digital identity, and security systems. Headquartered in Paris, the company develops solutions for the armed forces, civil aviation, space, transport infrastructure, and government agencies in more than 60 countries. Thales produces radar systems, communications equipment, avionics, satellite technologies, air defense systems, as well as software for data protection and critical infrastructure. BuTech is an Armenian company specializing in the development and production of technological solutions for the defense industry, founded in 2019-2020. The company is engaged in the integration of defense systems, the creation of software, unmanned platforms, control systems, and other high-tech products for the security and defense sectors.
