New semiconductor design center to be built in Engineering City

ArmInfo. The groundbreaking ceremony for Integral Solutions' new technology center, which will focus on semiconductor and microelectronic design, took place in Engineering City.

According to the press service of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry,  the new center is expected to create at least 300 jobs, attracting  highly qualified specialists to Armenia, developing professional  potential, and expanding the technological ecosystem.

The new Integral Solutions technology center will house a  supercomputer emulator purchased from Siemens, which is crucial for  the development of the semiconductor industry. It will allow Armenian  companies to test and validate chips on-site before entering the  production phase.

The validation phase in the semiconductor industry is considered one  of the most complex and costly processes, accounting for  approximately 80% of the total time and budget for chip development.  According to the source, until now, Armenian companies have performed  this process abroad, incurring significant time and financial costs.

"With this strategic infrastructure, Armenia is becoming not only a  developer of software solutions but also a regional technology hub,  developing its own hardware technologies and chip design,  strengthening the country's technological competitiveness and  promoting progress in artificial intelligence and high technology,"  said Eduard Musaelyan, Executive Director of the Union of Employers  in Information and Communication Technologies.

It is worth noting that Integral Solutions has been providing modern  IT solutions for businesses for over 20 years, offering a range of  services in data integration, big data processing, and knowledge  management.  The company specializes in cloud services and ensures  data security. Integral Solutions is the official distributor of  Informatica Corp. brand software in Poland.
