From telegraph to 5G: the Museum of Communications joins pan-European  `Night of Museums` campaign

ArmInfo.  The Communications Museum of Armenia will join International Museum Day (May 18) and the pan-European "Night of Museums" campaign (May 16), allowing visitors  to learn about the history of telecommunications in Armenia.

According to the press service of Team Telecom Armenia, the museum  displays communications devices from different eras, including the  telegraph, radio equipment, Morse code devices, payphones, and other  devices. Visitors will be able to see what communications were like a  century ago and trace the path to modern digital technologies for  fixed, mobile, and internet communications. "Team, as the national  operator and successor to Armenia's first telecom network, is pleased  to be responsible for preserving the history of communications and  passing it on to future generations. Telecommunications in our  country have undergone a truly fascinating and multifaceted journey,  playing a significant role in the development of technology in  Armenia. We showcase this entire journey at the museum, regularly  updating the exhibits with new devices reflecting the industry's  rapid development, and we are pleased to invite everyone to explore  the evolution of telecommunications," noted Grigory Yurin, Head of  Public Relations at Team Telecom Armenia.

These days, the Communications Museum promises to provide an  interactive and memorable experience:  visitors, accompanied by a  professional guide, will be able to not only explore but also try out  various devices from decades past.

According to the source, the Museum is located in the Communications  Building in Yerevan at 24/1 Azatutyan Avenue. On May 16, the Museum  will be open from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and on May 18, from 3:00 PM to  6:00 PM. On other days, the Museum also welcomes everyone interested  in the history of communications.
