
ArmInfo.Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan received a delegation from the Atomic Energy Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, led by its Chairman, Almasad Satkaliyev.
The discussion focused on energy sector trends, and the potential for the development of nuclear and solar energy. The parties expressed their willingness to continue cooperation in this area, to share expertise and exchange necessary information.
Minister Khudatyan emphasized the significance of Armenia and Kazakhstan's close cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy within CIS member states.
Recall, in November 2025, Armenia and Kazakhstan signed a memorandum of cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy. It should be noted that the Atomic Energy Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a government agency responsible for implementing policy on the peaceful use of nuclear energy, developing the nuclear industry, and coordinating relevant projects in the country. The Agency participates in the development of nuclear energy strategies, including the possible construction of nuclear power plants, and also ensures interaction with international organizations, primarily the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
