ArmInfo. 1.059 billion drams will be allocated to co-finance subvention programs implemented in various regions of Armenia. The decision was made at a government meeting on April 30.
As RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan noted in his speech, the project envisages funding 20 subvention programs in 14 communities across the country. Specifically, it is planned to implement one program in the Aragatsotn region, three programs in the Ararat region, eight programs in the Armavir region, one program in the Gegharkunik region, one program in the Kotayk region, two programs in the Shirak region, one program in the Syunik region, and three programs in the Tavush region.
The minister emphasized that after the decision comes into force, the total funding for the subvention programs will approach 4.117 billion drams.
It should be noted that the programs are financed by both the state budget and the budgets of local governments. Applications for the programs are primarily aimed at capital investments in communities, specifically the improvement of streets, parks, gardens, and playgrounds; the construction and renovation of community buildings, cultural centers, kindergartens, and event halls; the construction and renovation of water, sewer, and irrigation networks; night lighting; and the gasification of populated areas.
