ArmInfo.  Net foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows to Armenia amounted to $139 million in 2024, according to a UN report.

According to this report, net FDI inflows decreased by a factor of 4  year-on-year (from $580 million in 2023) and by a factor of 7 over  the past two years (from $976 million). Over the past five years, a  significant reduction in this indicator was observed in 2020 - almost  2-fold to $59 million, then in 2021 there was a jump of more than 6  times - to $366 million and then reaching a historical maximum of  $976 million in 2022 (with an annual growth of almost 3 times).  Meanwhile, the Statistical Committee of Armenia has already published  investment data for 2025, according to which net FDI inflow, on the  contrary, jumped fivefold, reaching $605.1 million, thereby exceeding  the 2023 level ($580.4 million), but falling (38%) below the  historical maximum of $975.7 million recorded in 2022. Net inflow of  total foreign investment in 2025 almost doubled to $2.228 billion,  slightly (11%) below the historical maximum of $2.505 billion  recorded in 2022.

Investment statistics for 2024 have also been adjusted: net FDI  inflow amounted to $131.6 million (with an annual decline of 4.4  times and a two-year decline of 7.4 times). Net foreign investment  inflows totaled $1.185 billion in 2024, a significant increase over  the past year, but a 2.1-fold decline over the past two years. It's  worth noting that Armenia only publishes quarterly and annual  statistics on foreign investment.  Moreover, when data for the same  period of the following year is published, the figures for the  previous year are reported as adjusted. In other words, when data for  the reporting period is published, it is preliminary, while data from  the previous year is adjusted.
