ArmInfo.IDBank and Idram conducted a financial literacy course for children living in Vahagni and neighboring villages of the Lori region. The program provided around 60 children and adolescents with in-depth knowledge of the financial sector, savings, and responsible financial behavior.
The “Matemik” NGO was selected as a beneficiary in February within the framework of “The Power of One Dram” initiative. As a result, the organization received AMD 4,644,456, enabling it to expand its programs — in particular, to continue the construction of the Volunteer House in the village of Vahagni. This space will host seminars led by invited specialists for residents of Vahagni and nearby communities.
According to Tatevik Vardevanyan, Head of the Communications and Social Responsibility Programs Department at IDBank and Idram, the companies aim to increase financial and digital literacy among children and adolescents both in Yerevan and in the regions.
“The meeting was held in a highly productive and engaging environment. We are seeing growing interest in the financial sector among children, which is the strongest motivation for us to continue such initiatives,” said Tatevik Vardevanyan.
Tigran Arushanyan, Director of the “Matemik” NGO, emphasized the importance of such programs: “These initiatives are extremely valuable to us. We highly appreciate the cooperation with IDBank and Idram. This is a clear example of social responsibility — it has enabled us not only to continue building the Volunteer House, but also to provide children with essential financial literacy knowledge.”
IDBank and Idram continue their “Financially Literate with Idram and IDBank” initiative, aimed at supporting community development and promoting financial and digital literacy among the population.
