
ArmInfo.Preliminary data from the Statistical Committee of Armenia reveals a positive shift in the national labor market for 2025, with the unemployment rate falling from 13.4% to 12.8%. The total number of unemployed citizens decreased by 4.9%, settling at 172,300 people by the end of the year.
At the same time, the employment rate in Armenia decreased from 51.2% to 50.6% in 2025. In total, the country has a labor force of 2,325,300, of which 1,177,200 are employed.
In February 2026, there were 1,143 people registered as job seekers, 636 of whom were women and 507 of whom were men. By the end of February, 600 people had found employment, a 4.6% decrease from the previous year, or 1.6% of the total number of job seekers. Out of those employed, 342 were women (a 12.8% year-on-year decline) and 258 were men (an 8.9% year-on-year increase).
As of March 1, 2026, there was a 37.5% increase in employer demand for labor compared to the previous year, totaling 3,405 people. The workload per vacancy also decreased by 36.4% year-on-year to 14 people.
