After prolonged decline, brandy and wine production in Armenia  records growth

ArmInfo. After a prolonged decline, cognac and wine production in Armenia has returned to growth. According to the Statistical Committee, in January-February  2026, cognac production increased by 17.3% (from a 45.3% decline a  year ago), reaching a volume of 2.4 million liters.

Wine production also increased by 6.6% (from a 33.3% decline a year  ago), reaching 901,800 liters.  Meanwhile, sparkling wine production  decreased by 45% (versus a 15.8% decline a year ago), reaching 68,500  liters. Beer production significantly accelerated in growth, from  8.1% to 28.3%, reaching 3.3 million liters.

According to statistics, whiskey production during the reporting  period totaled 320.6 thousand liters, down 11% from the year-ago  period (compared to a 90.3% increase the year before).

Vodka, liqueur, and other spirits production declined significantly,  from 3.9% to 28% year-on-year, reaching 103.2 thousand liters.
