Armenian defense industry companies paid 13.3 bn AMD in taxes  in  2025

ArmInfo.Companies within Armenia's military-industrial complex (MIC) contributed 13.3 billion drams in taxes to the state budget in 2025, as stated by Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia in an  interview. "In my opinion, this is a very significant indicator," he said.

The Minister emphasized that tax contributions from the industry have  shown consistent year-over-year growth. He attributed this upward  trend to a pivotal three-year state program, which facilitated local  defense firms in fulfilling orders for the Ministry of Defense. As of  early 2026, the total volume of orders amounted to approximately 172  billion drams.

He stated that the program's implementation has resulted in  significant investments in science and technology. The products  manufactured under the order, according to Hayrapetyan, have been  transferred to the Armenian Armed Forces.

The Minister pointed out that a decision has been made to extend the  program. According to the head of the ministry, the Ministry of  Defense will soon sign agreements with 30 companies. "This will  further boost the industry's development, taking it to a new level,  increasing competition in the international market, and opening up  prospects for exports," Hayrapetyan said.
