
ArmInfo. Lusine Gevorgyan, Head of the Armenian Tourism Committee, met with her Russian counterparts at the MITT 2026 international tourism exhibition, including Nikita Kondratyev, Head of the Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, his deputy Igor Maksimov, and Yevgeny Kozlov, Chairman of the Moscow Tourism Committee.
According to the Committee's press service, the parties discussed opportunities for developing cooperation in tourism, the latest trends and changes in the industry, and emphasized the importance of expanding ties between the public and private sectors of the two countries.
Summing up the MITT 2026 international tourism exhibition, the Committee noted that the event has become another important platform for presenting Armenia as a tourist destination on the international stage.
According to the RA Statistics Committee, 921,704 tourists from Russia visited Armenia in 2025, which is 1.7% lower than the previous year's figure.
