ArmInfo.In 2025, 32,042 children were born in Armenia, a decrease of 4.6% compared to the previous year. The birth rate per 1,000 inhabitants for the reporting year was 10.4 per thousand, down from 11.1 per thousand in the previous year.
According to data from the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, amid the decline in the birth rate, the number of deaths in Armenia increased by 0.5% to 25,564. The death rate in the country was 8.3 per thousand, slightly lower than the 8.4 per thousand in 2024. Thus, the absolute value of natural population growth was 6,478 people, a 20.6% decrease from the previous year. Specifically, the natural population growth rate for January-December 2025 was 2.1 per thousand, compared to 2.7 per thousand in 2024.
