ArmInfo. Armenia's agricultural crop insurance program will resume on February 15, 2026. Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan shared this information on his Facebook page, noting that the decision was reached after lengthy negotiations with insurance companies.
He stated that the following crops will be covered in 2026: apricots, grapes, apples, peaches, plums, melons, watermelons, potatoes, cherries, sweet cherries, wheat, barley, and oats. Insured risks include hail, spring frosts, and drought. The state will reimburse a portion of the insurance premium: 40% for apricots, wheat, barley, and oats, and 60% for other crops. According to the head of the department, the following insurance companies are participating in the program: Liga Insurance, SIL Insurance, Nairi Insurance, Rego Insurance, Armenia Insurance, and EFES Insurance. "The insurance companies will start actively selling insurance. They will visit villages and provide coverage for your orchards and land on the spot," Papoyan said.
