Armenia`s Viticulture and Winemaking Foundation  reports on its 2025  activities

ArmInfo.The Board of Trustees of the Viticulture and Winemaking Foundation of Armenia (VWFA) held its regular meeting  chaired by RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan. The Foundation's Executive Director, Zaruhi Muradyan, presented a summary of the year's activities and its strategic goals.

The meeting focused on addressing the challenges facing viticulture  and winemaking in Armenia, exploring solutions,  studying the  potential of Armenian grape varieties,  the possibilities to  establish collection orchards, implementing programs in collaboration  with international partners, and advancing digitalization of the  industry. Additionally, the meeting participants reviewed the list of  programs and events planned by the Fund for 2026, as well as measures  to enhance the competitiveness of Armenian wine globally. Gevorg  Papoyan  provided directives aimed at developing the industry and  increasing the recognition of Armenian wine.

It is worth noting that, according to the RA Statistics Committee,  wine production volume in January- November 2025 dropped by 26% to  6.7 million liters.
